"Built From White" was inspired by the Leopold Stokowski quote:

'A painter paints his pictures on canvas. But musicians paint their pictures on silence. We provide the music, and you provide the silence.'

You will hear colour being referred to through out the EP, representing the feelings of the lyricist. White was the colour chosen to represent the development and creation of EP, it resonates a raw, bare innocence & doesn't hide any imperfections.

The Purpose was established December 2015. The new Brisbane pop, rock band has recently released their first EP 'Built from white'. Since then, the band has been gigging relentlessly in the Brisbane area playing with local and interstate bands.
